Suicide Prevention for Veterans

Understanding the signs and when to ask for help is everything. The 2023 National VA Suicide Prevention Annual Report shared:
- Total veteran suicide deaths were 6,392, an increase from 2020
- 72% of veteran deaths were caused by firearms
- Female veteran suicide deaths increased by 24% from 2020 to 2021
We offer community-based services to help reduce suicide risk for veterans in Ohio and Indiana.

The SSG Fox Suicide Prevention Program helps veterans and family members find hope and purpose.
Volunteers of America helps veterans and family members everyday who are struggling with:
- Losing their home
- Unemployment
- Substance Use
- Stressful life events
- Recent loss
- Finances
- Chronic pain or trauma
Services offered in-person or virtually.
