Growth & Healing

Navigating parenthood while in recovery from substance use disorder presents a unique set of challenges. Women often grapple with the emotional and psychological toll of their past, striving to maintain stability for their children amidst their own healing journey. Our Certified Peer Support Professional on staff understands first-hand the challenges clients face in recovery and can connect with anyone who needs a listening ear through lived shared experience and direct them to resources to address any specific concerns.

During their stay, clients focus on healing, growth, and meeting goals. They are required to maintain employment, which helps them build skills to return to independence and achieve long-term recovery. They are also required to participate in mental health and substance use treatment programming.

Recovery Milestones

Recovery is celebrated daily! It’s important to stop and reflect on progress made, so milestone achievement celebrations are a regular part of transitional life at Legacy Recovery House. As they plan for the future, clients have a lot to celebrate with DCS cases successfully closed, ongoing family reunification, employment, personal transportation achieved, and a consistent connection to childcare.

“It’s like taking a step down from the inpatient facility toward more independence. While I’m here, I can go to work and attending recovery meetings.”
