They need your help
Thursday, May 26, A Silent Cry for Help: Supporting Cleveland's Homeless Youth, is an evening dedicated to youth who need shelter and a place to live.
Right now there are young men in Cleveland, between the ages of 18 to 24, who are homeless.
Why?
The stories are heartbreakingly different for each young man:
A life of abandonment and abuse has left him on the street
He had substance abuse problems and was thrown out of his home
Gender identity and a lack of acceptance and support from his family
After aging out of the foster care system he had nowhere to go
He is suffering from mental health issues
The list goes on…
No matter the reason, to be a young man, with nowhere to turn, and no place to call home is not a way to enter into adulthood. Today, both Humility of Mary Housing, and Volunteers of America of Greater Ohio have specialized services to support them . . . And we need your help.
