"Go wherever we are needed and do whatever comes to hand.”
This was the pledge made by Ballington and Maud Booth when they founded Volunteers of America in 1896. Now, over a century later, these words still define us as we continue our legacy of responding to the needs of homeless men and families, veterans, men returning from prison, people with disabilities, elderly and those searching for affordable housing. Our organization is strengthened by the commitment of hundreds of employees, volunteers and partners working toward real change.
