Housewarming Help
Help with a new home
We serve over 23,000 veterans, men, women and children each year. But, as the individuals and families we serve continue their path to housing independence and move out on their own, they often don't have the basic necessities to make their new place feel like home. From making meals to tidying-up, we often take the everyday household items for granted. You can help relieve some stress by donating a housewarming kit to those families and individuals moving out on their own in hopes of living an independent life. We welcome new and gently-used items.
Here are the items we need most:
- Pots and pans
- Dishes
- Kitchen utensils (knives, spoons, forks and serving pieces)
- Small appliances (toaster, microwave, etc.)
- Pillows
- Sheets
- Comforters and blankets
- Trash cans
- Trash can or Laundry basket
- Broom
- Dust pan
- Hand soap
- Dish soap
- All purpose cleaner
- Shower curtain
- Shower curtain rings
- Sponges (2)
- Paper towels (1 roll)
- Toilet paper (4 rolls)
